Ansteads Auctioneers is second-generation family business. First opened in 1971 by James and Mary Whittemore as Whittemore's Auction, and then changed to Mary's Auction in 1973. Mary's Auction remained until her retirement in 1998 when the business was purchased by her daughter and son-in-law Marylynn and Mike Anstead. The Ansteads have been around and involved with the business since it opened. We are still a family business and try to maintain the friendly and courteous atmosphere Mary worked so hard to establish.
Every week we sell furniture, antiques, collectibles, artwork, appliances, tools, computers, stereo systems, televisions, rugs, lamps, artwork, lawn and patio furniture, and much more.
We are a customer friendly company with over 29 years experience serving San Diego County. Our knowledgeable buyers work county wide to acquire quality merchandise to be sold to the highest bidders. We handle estates, business and personal liquidations, and even single-item calls. We work hard to bring you the best merchandise.
